IRF Statement on the the Recent Conversion Ruling of the Israeli Supreme Court

The International Rabbinic Fellowship, as a deeply committed Modern-Orthodox and Zionist organization, wholly supports the vision of the State of Israel as a Jewish-Democratic state that, in addition to being the home of all its citizens, is deeply connected to the entire Jewish people throughout the world, whatever their religious affiliation and identification. As such it must be open, welcoming and supportive of all law abiding citizens who dwell in its borders and to the entire spectrum of Jews throughout the world.

The breach of the Capitol building in Washington, DC on Wednesday, January 6, together with the unlawful trespass, violence and intimidation by some supporters of President Trump are cause for alarm for us all and threaten the very concept of a peaceful transfer of power which is at the heart of our American democracy.
IRF Mourns the Passing of Rabbi Yehuda Herzl Henkin zt"l

The International Rabbinic Fellowship together with the whole house of Israel mourns the passing of Rabbi Yehuda Herzl Henkin zt"l at the age of 75 in Jerusalem. R. Henkin was one of the leading poskim (halakhic decisors) of the Modern-Orthodox community, a towering and courageous talmid chacham and a halakhic address for many members of the IRF.
