The International Rabbinic Fellowship joins the entire community in mourning the passing of Rabbi Gedalia Dov Schwartz zt"l at the age of 95.

R. Schwartz served with distinction as the Av Beit Din of the Beth Din of America, the Rosh Beit Din of the Chicago Rabbinical Council and the Beit Din Hakavod of the Religious Zionists of America for many decades.

R. Schwartz was an outstanding Torah scholar, sensitive and caring posek, and served as a community rabbi in a number of pulpits with great success. He was consulted by many rabbis throughout the country and was one of the leading halakhic guides of the Rabbinical Council of America.

May his family be comforted by the Almighty amongst the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
