IRF Commends Rabin Commemoration for Including Religious Zionists

The International Rabbinic Fellowship is heartened by the decision of the organizers of the annual commemoration ceremony in memory of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, zt”l to reach out, this year, to the leadership of the mainstream Religious-Zionist community and ask them to participate and speak at the official program of the evening.

The International Rabbinic Fellowship, applauds the new campaign of the Tzohar rabbinical organization in Israel to restore the institution and ethos of the national Chief Rabbinate to its inclusive, Zionist roots.
Vaad Giyyur – Policy Statement
The International Rabbinic Fellowship respects and strongly adheres to the notion that local rabbis should be empowered to do their own giyyur without the need to go through a centralized body. It is understood that each rabbi will make his decisions in full accordance with the demands of halakha and in due consideration of what is best for the convert and for the Jewish people.
