The International Rabbinic Fellowship expresses its deep disappointment in the recent Israeli cabinet decisions to suspend implementation of the Kotel Compromise approved last year by the government as well as the decision to support legislation that would outlaw any conversions done in Israel outside of the Conversion Authority of the Chief Rabbinate.

The International Rabbinic Fellowship notes with concern that in January of this year, 48 Jewish Community centers in 27 states and one Canadian province received 60 telephone bomb threats leading to evacuations and deep anxiety.

In the last century, we have seen a dramatic change in attitudes and practices throughout almost every segment of Orthodox Jewry in relation to the role and participation of women in various aspects of Jewish intellectual, communal, and, in many instances, ritual life.

In response to President Trump's Executive Order, the International Rabbinic Fellowship (IRF), an organization of close to 230 Orthodox rabbis, communal scholars, clergy and educators, feels compelled to share our Torah based values regarding welcoming and caring for the immigrants. We strongly urge our elected leaders to adhere to these values as they make their decisions.

The International Rabbinic Fellowship expresses its disappointment in the decision of the Obama administration to abstain, rather than veto, the recent UN Security Council resolution on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
