Jordan Soffer

Rabbi Jordan David Soffer serves as the Head of School at Striar Hebrew Academy, a Modern Orthodox day school located in Sharon, MA. He joined the SHAS community in 2019 following three years as the Rabbi-in-Residence at Carmel Academy in Greenwich, CT. Rabbi Soffer holds a BS from the University of Wisconsin and a Master’s Degree in Education from Yeshiva University, where he is currently pursuing his EdD. His educational journey includes studying at Yeshivat Maaleh Gilboa, Yeshivat Hadar, and the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, culminating in receiving smicha from Yeshivat Chovevei Torah in 2016.
Recognized for his contributions to Jewish education, Rabbi Soffer was honored with the Covenant Foundation's 2020 Pomegranate Prize, acknowledging emerging leaders in the field. He is also a member of Class 8 of the Wexner Field Fellowship. In addition to these leadership roles, Rabbi Soffer serves as a Rabbinic Mentor for the Day School Leadership Training Institute and is a member of Israel Bonds' Rabbinic Advisory Committee.
Rabbi Soffer resides in Sharon with his wife, Dr. Marti Soffer, and their four children: Maayan, Reiut, Shoshana, and Roey.
