IRF Reaffirms Its Support for the Kotel Compromise and the Conversion Reforms in Israel
February 22, 2022
The International Rabbinic Fellowship, a broad based organization of Modern-Orthodox rabbis, scholars and community leaders reaffirms its long time support for the Kotel Compromise that was forged six years ago under the aegis of then chairman of the Jewish Agency, Natan Sharansky.
We also reaffirm our support for the Conversion reform initiatives proposed by Religious Affairs Minister, Matan Kahana.
While we respect those in the Orthodox community with differing positions on these issues, we reject any attempts to claim a unified position of Diaspora Orthodox Jewry on these matters.
