IRF Mourns the passing of Dr. Michael Wyschogrod, zt”l

December 17, 2015

The International Rabbinic Fellowship expresses its deep sorrow on the passing of Dr. Michael Wyschogrod zt"l, one of the seminal Jewish philosophers of our era.

Dr. Wyschogrod was a creative thinker and eloquent writer whose books and articles continue to have impact in all religious circles. He was a strong advocate for Jewish-Christian dialogue and interaction and appreciated the influence of theologians such as Karl Barth in shaping his world-view. He was a proud Modern-Orthodox Jew who taught at many universities including serving as Chair of the Dept. of Philosophy at Baruch College of CUNY.

May his family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
