The International Rabbinic Fellowship mourns the passing of Belda Lindenbaum, zt"l, a leading voice for perfecting our world in general and perfecting our Modern-Orthodox Torah community and its norms and institutions, in particular.

Belda, a long time philanthropist and activist, worked tirelessly on behalf of many causes but most prominently in expanding the opportunities for women and girls to maximize their potential as avdai Hashem -servants of God- especially in areas of Torah study, leadership and expanded ritual roles. 

Belda had a passionate commitment to justice and used her prodigious talents and resources for achieving that goal both here and in Israel. She will be sorely missed by all. 

May her family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
